Mexico SCT proposes new Mexico City Airport light rail link project

Mexico's Secretariat of Communication & Transport (SCT) advised the country plans to construct and operate a light rail line between Mexico City and the new Mexico Felipe Angeles International Airport (bnamericas.com, 15-Sep-2020). Under the estimated MXN26 billion (USD1.2 billion) proposal, the new 23km airport rail link would be developed between Lechería Station and the new USD3.2 billion airport in Santa Lucía. The Government plans to allocate approximately MXN12.3 billion (USD0.6 billion) to the proposed light rail link and new airport project over the next three years.
