DFAT to promote Australia 'as travel and investment destination' at Expo 2020

Australia's Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade (DFAT) confirmed (03-Oct-2021) it will attend the Expo 2020 Dubai, joining 192 participating nations at the business and trade event. The country's trade, tourism and investment minister Dan Tehan stated: "Expo 2020 Dubai will provide Australia with a platform to strengthen business and industry ties and identify new trade and investment opportunities in the United Arab Emirates (UAE), the wider Middle East region, and internationally... Australia's participation will target business opportunities in key industries including food and agribusiness, advanced manufacturing and space, mining and resources, education, healthcare, infrastructure and digital technology". Expo 2020 Dubai commenced on 01-Oct-2021, and will run until 31-Mar-2022.
