Deutsche Bahn signs collective bargaining agreement with EVG

Deutsche Bahn signed (07-Oct-2021) a collective bargaining agreement with Railway and Transport Union (EVG). DB stated rail strikes are excluded until at least Feb-2023, with the agreement featuring a COVID-19 allowance for staff. Under the conditions of the agreement, Deutsche Bahn employees will receive EUR600 by the end of 2021 and a further EUR500 in Mar-2022. Further resolutions includes the hiring of new staff, dismissal protection, training, housing and mobility, as well as a wage increase of 1.5% effective 01-Jan-2022. The agreement follows a collective bargaining signed by DB and German Locomotive Drivers' Union (GDL) on 16-Sep-2021. [more - original PR - German]
