Caxxor Group announced it will commence the proposed USD3.3 billion T-MEC corridor project in 2021 (milenio.com, 14-Oct-2020). The Mexican company stated the new railway corridor will connect Sinaloa (Mexico) and Winnipeg (Canada) via the United States of America. The project includes the integration of a logistics centre in Winnipeg as well as the construction of a new USD1 billion port in Mazatlán, serving as a transport facility for containerised, agricultural, automotive, manufacturing and energy cargo for oil and gas. Caxxor CEO Calos Ortiz advised "several railway operators" expressed interest in the proposal, with plans of investing approximately in the first quarter of 2021. Basic engineering and permitting will launch in the third quarter of 2021.
